Who is Kristína?
Hello, I’m Kristína Tonková – a creative soul with a deep appreciation for language, art, and holistic living.
I hold master’s degrees in Specialised Translation (University of Strasbourg) and Philology (P. J. Šafárik University, Košice), complemented by international experience through study and work in Slovakia, France, and Luxembourg.
My professional background includes translation internships in academic and institutional contexts – including Schuman traineeship at the European Parliament.
I’ve also worked as a language tutor, event hostess during the 2024 Paris Olympics, and have volunteered extensively in the fields of education and animal advocacy.
Beyond translation, I express myself through visual art and share reflections on the body–mind–spirit connection. My work is grounded in deeper understanding, clarity, and creativity – whether I’m working with words, colours, or people.
I’m Kristína. A quiet observer, a lover of language, and someone who feels most alive when beauty and meaning meet.
I’ve always been drawn to the in-between spaces — between cultures, between silence and speech, between the logical and the felt. I’ve lived in Slovakia, France, and Luxembourg, and I carry a bit of each place in me.
Language has been my compass. But so has art. So has emotion. So has intuition. Painting, writing, translating — these aren’t just things I do. They are ways I process the world. Ways I connect. Sometimes I find the right words. Sometimes colour says it better.
This space is a reflection of the things I care about: creating with heart, living with intention, staying close to what’s real.
