Let’s begin a 30 Days of Writing challenge, a creative prompt series I discovered on Pinterest. The idea is simple: each day, you write on a new topic to refine your writing skills and spark fresh insights. As the days progress, I will share this process with you, giving you a glimpse into my world along the way. So, let’s begin with Day 1: Descirbe your personality.
To many, my personality might appear boring—like a plain white colour. Too ordinary, too dull, too sterile, cold and impersonal. Yet, it only seems that way because it reflects all the other colours that quietly hide within it. So, anything white we see is actually an invisible rainbow. Only a few people recognise this paradox; only a few look at white, knowing how colourful it really is.
I once tried to explain this to others, but after a while, I realised it was a waste of time. Now, I simply let them assume I am all they see—and nothing more. I’ve learned that what they perceive says more about them than about anything else. Thus, with this peaceful distance from their perspective, I listen carefully, so I can get to know them better.
Some of them are red, others are blue, green, or yellow. Sometimes they are orange, and other times I meet pink ones. Some have more colours, but they generally still sit in a particular part of the spectrum. At some point, when I recognised the pattern, I even started to put little labels on them—though I’m not a huge fan of labels. Are you confused? Well, maybe then you’re starting to understand. Maybe.
